PORTFOLIO BUILDING SHOOT

I am ridiculously excited about the photos from this shoot that I did with New Orleans hair and makeup artist, Megan Bunnell. She hired me to create images for her portfolio and website (still under reconstruction).
The first was a Valentine’s Day look with some delicious smelling, heart-shaped suckers. Our models, Sara, got dibs on the green apple. Megan got that gorgeous vintage-inspired flower crown on Amazon.
For her second set, Sara got a deep red lip color to match her gorgeous red dress (and hair). She is just beautiful and she has the cutest tattoo of Louisiana beneath her right ear.
Second in line was Erica. We’ve done shoots with Erica before. She’s always a willing model and I love working with her because she’s a natural.
I dressed her on two of my thrift store finds. Both pieces are flowing, pastel coloured, chiffon dresses that I love. And Megan’s floral headpiece completed both looks.
We went for a more dramatic look for these next few…contoured those cheekbones!
That one was my favorite of the day!
And I snuck in a headshot between looks.
Last but not least was the beard-tastic Austin. He was supposed to bring three looks. He brought what looked like half of his closet.
When it was his turn to be photographed, I stepped outside to get him and he was standing out there like this.
Seriously, dude?!
We did some casual and some professional looks and ended up doing what I can only describe as a male beauty shot.
Then, it got serious.
BOOM!
Male beauty shot, lol.
While Megan’s website is being revamped, you can check her out on Facebook or follow her on Instagram.
When you book a shoot with me, Megan may very well be the makeup artist for the shoot.
So, HOW DO YOU DREAM OF BEING PHOTOGRAPHED?
LET ME KNOW.
LET ME REMIND YOU HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE.
Also, I love helping makeup artists build their portfolios. If you’re a makeup artist in the New Orleans area and you’d like to have professional images of your work, get in touch with me through email, or even Facebook.
P.S. Here’s a shot of Sara’s tattoo. Isn’t just perfect?
