Now, to introduce you to my actress/model friend, Ashton.

She is currently studying theatre at my alma mater, the University of New Orleans.  You can probably catch her in a play any weekend, at the Allways Lounge, Shadowbox Theatre or another venue.  She’s a busy girl with a big goal.

We’ve worked together so many times that I’ve lost count and we always get some awesome shots, despite never planning anything out.

This shoot was close to coming to an end and we were both running very low on energy.  But before we packed it in, I remembered I wanted to do a test shoot using gold leaf.  I told Ashton about it and she was in!  I used petroleum jelly and a paintbrush to apply the gold leaf to her neck and chest.

I love how it came out and I can’t wait to do it again in a gold themed shoot.
